Hello Angels, Bosley, Mr. X and the UnNamed One,
Another week,
another race, and another new winner...Jeff Gordon. Unfortunately, I didn't get to
watch the race, so this will be an abbreviated weekly column. I do know that the
lead was a hotly contested spot for most of the race. Three people, Gordon, Dale
Earnhardt Jr., and Bobby Labonte fought a valiant race to the end...but unfortunately for
Labonte and Earnhardt, Kurt Busch spun with three laps left and brought out the final
caution and checkered flag with Gordon in the lead. So, I congratulate Jeff Gordon
for being in the right spot at the right time...
I also saw
who was in the lead for our Charlie's Angels Fantasy League after last week's race in
Talladega...Kris (Peggy) congrats on your overtaking the top spot. But if you're
paying attention...like the race today in Martinsville, the top spot for segment one of
the Charlie's Angels Fantasy League is also hotly contested with first through fifth spot
being separated by only 78 points. That of course will change after today's race in
finalized...but just the same, I'm glad that we're keeping it competitive.
Speaking of
the points, lets look at where we all finished up this week.
Bosley
(Jude), unfortunately you have the honor of being our GOLDEN CABOOSE award winner
today. I'll tell you what though...you really didn't do that badly compared to some
of our previous Caboose recipients as of late. Present company included. Your
worst driver, as for 6 other Angels today is Jamie McMurray. He was running in the
top-10 for a good portion of the day. Unfortunately I can only imagine what happened
to him...probably an accident of some sort because he finished 39th. Ryan Newman
finished 38th, so, I'm going to assume (uh ohhhh...lol) that he and McMurray got together
on the same crash. Michael Waltrip wasn't much of a help to you either by finishing
23rd. Your top two finishers are Rusty Wallace in 8th and Tony Stewart in
6th. Your average finish is a not so bad, 22.8. Better luck next week.
UnNamed One
(Ray), You didn't do much better than Bosley...One because you too had McMurray and the
fact that none of your drivers finished in the Top-10. Coming close to that though
was Ricky Rudd and his 11th place finish. Greg Biffle had a decent rookie run with
an 18th place spot. Dale Jarrett's changing crew chief's didn't help him either
because he finished 20th and Matt Kenseth rounds out your 5 drivers with his 22nd place
finish. All said, your average finish is an even 22. Better luck next week.
Kris
(Peggy)...Not so good for you this week, which will most likely end your run as the
Charlie's Angels leader...but it could've been worse for you. Todd Bodine finished
37th, probably because he wrecks...he always does...lol I've already mentioned
Busch's spin with three laps left, he finished 28th. Ward Burton wishes he was his
brother (Jeff Burton finished in the Top-10) but only managed a 25th place finish.
Kevin Harvick did decently with a 16th place finish and your top driver, Earnhardt
Jr., finished 3rd. Your average finish is 21.8. Better luck next week.
Mr. X (Dave) and Sabrina (Susan) you two tied this week even with three of
your teams drivers being different. The two drivers you share are McMurray (39th)
and Jimmie Johnson who finished 9th. Mr. X you had Kenseth (22nd), Johnny Benson who
finished 32 and Earnhardt Jr., finishing 3rd. Sabrina, you also had
John Andretti who finished 30th, Robby Gordon finish 21st and Stewart who finished
6th. Your average finish was an even 21. Better luck next week.
Tiffany (Jen
Y), Jamie McMurray...nuff said. Ward Burton...good car...bad day (25th). Matt
Kenseth...who knows what happened...lol (22nd). Johnson stayed in the top
10 for most of the race...(9th) and of course Earnhart Jr and his 3rd place finish.
Your average finish is 19.6. Good luck next week.
Julie (Jen
T), welcome back...again, enough said about McMurray except that he really hurt you
because your other drivers finished 19 or better. In the 19th spot is Jimmy
Spenser. You also have Harvick and his 16th spot, Johnson and his 9th spot and your
sweetie, Earnhardt Jr, and his 3rd spot. Your average finish is 17.2. Good
luck next week also.
Ok, this is
the last time I mention McMurray this week...but I unfortunately had him on my team....I
also have Kenseth and his 22nd place finish. Joe Nemachek had a nice 15th place
finish this week, and of course I still have the Dynamic Duo, Johnson and Jeff Gordon on
my team who finished 9th and first respectively. My average finish is a 17 even.
Jill (Jennie)
if it wasn't for Todd Bodine's misfortunes, you would've had yourself a top-10 average
finish. But his 37th really hurt you. Terry Labonte was doing well until his
late race spin. Just the same, I think all of Hendricks Motor Sports teams are doing
decently this year...I hope I didn't just jinx them.... (bad Charlie...bad
Charlie...lol) Labonte finished 14th. You also have Johnson (Hendricks
teammate) and his 9th, Earnhardt Jr., and his 3rd, and of course Gordon (Hendricks
teammate) in first. Your average finish is still a nice 12.8. Nice job.
Kelly
(Sarah)...I think that all of us Angels will join my in sending our CONGRATULATIONS ON YOU
BEING OUR "TOP ANGEL AWARD" WINNER this week. You've been doing quite
horribly lately, (not that I'm trying to rub it in...just stating facts)... Your
worst driver this week is a struggling Mark Martin who finished 17th. Terry Labonte
finished 14th, Rudd finished 11th, Jeff Burton, who has also been struggling, finished 4th
and of course your Texas sweetie, Bobby Labonte finished 2nd. Congratulations again
Kelly, on your Top Angel Award Winning Average Finish of 9.6. Keep it up next
week.
Our teams
average finish is a nice 18.5.
Here are the
results from last week's Aaron's 499 race at Talladega.

I
believe the next race is the April 27th Auto Club 500 at California
Motorspeedway. That's two week's away. Don't forget to change your drivers if
you choose to before then.
Good luck Angels,
Charlie
