Coca Cola 600 Results

Hello Angels, Bosley, Mr. X and the UnNamed One,

The Coca-Cola 600 was supposed to be the longest race of the season, which opens up our second segment of Charlie’s Angels Fantasy League Racing.  Unfortunately for some, but very fortunate for others, the race was called early because of rain.  So, congratulations to Jimmie Johnson for his back-to-back victories at Lowes Motor Speedway.  I’m sure Humpy Wheeler is very happy.  For those of you who don’t know who Wheeler is, he’s the owner of Lowes Motor Speedway, and he predicted that Jimmie Johnson would win the race…Do you see a conspiracy here?   NO…just kidding….lol

Anyway, there was controversy to the race ending so early in the night, but the rain did come back an hour or so after the race was called…but give the racers a reason to complain…and they’ll take it…  J

Ok lets talk about our teams for a second…this week we have two Charlie’s Angels GOLDEN CABOOSE recipients…Sabrina (Susan) and Julie (Jen T), for the only reason that you didn’t register your teams on time…What’s up with that??????  L   Let’s hope you get registered for next week’s race.

Kelly (Sarah), you’re lucky this week that we had two teams not pick their drivers because you had some serious problems with your drivers last night.  Your worst driver, who is Sabrina’s honey bunny, Tony Stewart was having a great race until something gave out on his engine and sealed his fate of a 40th place finish.  Ricky Craven had similar problems on Lap 265 when his engine broke and spilled oil all over the track.   He finished 38th.  Mark Martin could only muster a 29th place finish, while Terry Labonte finished 21st.  Your Hearthrob, Bobby Labonte was your best finisher with a third consecutive 3rd place finish.   Unfortunately, your average finish is 26.2… Much better luck next week.

Mr. X (Dave), you didn’t faire much better than Kelly did.  Besides having Stewart on your team, you also have Dale Earnhardt Jr, who was in 2nd place when he hit the wall and broke something on his rear-end.  He finished 41st.  Ken Schrader hit the wall and finished 28th.  Luckily for you, you had MONGO, err, Jimmy Spencer on your team, along with Matt Kenseth, of course.  They finished 4th and 2nd respectively, giving you an average finish of 23 even.  Better luck next week.

Bosley (Jude), Stewart’s engine woes hurt you too…but not too badly because your other drivers did decently.  Steve Park had a spin, but still managed a 27th finishing spot, while Kurt Busch and Rusty Wallace finished 15th and 12th respectively.  Your top driver was 6th place finisher, Mikey Waltrip.  Your average finish is 20 even.  Better luck next week.

Tiffany (Jen Y), Earnhardt’s brakes were your problem too.  Kyle Petty didn’t hurt you too badly with his 30th place finish, while Kevin Harvick finished 13th.  Dale Jarrett finally had a top-10 run with his 9th place finish…and you had race winner Jimmie Johnson to give you an average finish of 18.8…not too bad, but better luck next week.

Kris (Peggy), Like almost everyone else you had Earnhardt and his brake problems…Bill Elliott and his broken foot only managed a 26th place finish.  Helping you though was Ward Burton’s 10th, along with Jeff Gordon’s 8th and MONGO’s 4th place finishes.  Your average finish is 17.8.  Better luck next week.

UnNamed One (Ray) you had a great race going for you until Craven dropped oil all over the track.   Elliott Sadler unfortunately ran over it and crashed into the wall.  He finished 36th.   Other than that, no real problems…Greg Biffle finished 16th, Jarrett 9th, Ryan Newman 5th and Kenseth 2nd.  Your average finish is a nice 13.6.  Nice job.

Jill (Jennie), if it wasn’t for Stewart’s engine you might have had all of your drivers in the top 10.  Unfortunately, it didn’t work out that way and he finished 40th.  Your four remaining drivers, Jarrett, Gordon, Newman and Johnson all finished 9th or better. Your average finish though was only 12.6 because of Stewart…L   Still, nice job.

Well that leaves me for the first TOP ANGEL award for the second segment.  My worst driver was Petty and his 30th place finish.  Joe Nemachek finished 11th, while Gordon, Kenseth and Johnson finished 8th, 2nd and 1st respectively.  My average finish is an even “top” 10.

Our combined teams’ average finish is 14.24, but that is not including Sabrina and Julie’s teams.
